WHY DO MOUNTAIN BIKE HELMETS HAVE VISORS?

Mountain bike helmets have a visor because Mountain bikers are more upright than cyclists on road bikes, so a visor can be used to protect from sun glare. Wind drag is of little worry as the biker is typically moving at a slower pace.

HOW TO CHOOSE A MOUNTAIN BIKE HELMET?

MTB Helmets vary by cycling specialty - from mountain biking to road biking and beyond. Mountain biking alone has helmets for enduro, all-mountain, cross-country, dirt jumping, and downhill. Your needs depend on the type of riding you do, and you may even need multiple mountain bike helmets for your different rides.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR A MOUNTAIN BIKE HELMET?

Determine head circumference by taking a flexible tape measure and wrapping it around the widest part of your head (1"" above eyebrows). Alternatively, wrap a string around your head and measure with a yardstick. Use this measurement to find the right size mountain bike helmet.
